Lamyanba Irawat Memorial Integrated Trust to organize an "Anti-Drugs Campaign" in Manipur

Lamyanba Irawat Memorial Integrated Trust (LIMIT) Manipur said through a press conference that LIMIT is planning to organize an "Anti Drugs Campaign" covering every nook and corner of the state on a state-wide basis.
Members of Limit said that most of the youths in the state are under the influence of narcotic drugs. While many of them get addicted to injecting drugs, others engage in sniffing and others. The so-called "Pillars of the nation" have an uncertain future considering the present condition of the influence of drugs among the youths in the state.
The mothers try the hard way, but fail to bring their children back to normalcy, free from the evil influence of narcotic drugs. They face many problems in their attempt to get their children rid of narcotics as they lack the technical ideas and practical ways to approach their children. And because of this, they are often mocked and become laughing stock in society.
It is hard to bring a drug addict to normalcy. The WHO announced drug addiction as a "Disease" in 2004. So, no physical punishment can ever recover drug addicts, but showing love, good care, and support towards them will morally and emotionally encourage them in their fight against their inability to recover from addiction.
The trust also appealed to every parent not to stay away from the fight against this bad habit just because their children are not addicted or so. Drug addiction is actually plaguing our society, and everybody must come forward and fight against drug addiction as one and save future generations from spoiling themselves under the evil influence of narcotics.
In this regard, LIMIT in joint hands with Yai Nupimanbi Self-Help Group will sell fruit salads at Thangal road between two Khwairamband Ima Keithel buildings to raise funds from 26th February to March 2. The funds thus raised would be used to pay resource persons for various campaigns.
The trust also has urged the people to extend their support and encourage addicts to recover from the jaws of drug addiction. The trust organized many successful campaigns earlier and saved many lives from spoiling.
